Should I treat the timber exterior to maintain it?

Yes. You can use stain, or products such as linseed oil to treat the exterior for the tub against the weather and moisture.

We recommend a coat of protective oil at least once a year. It helps the timber resist weather and moisture and keeps its colour for longer. Danish Oil or another wood protector works well, and a wooden lid can be treated on both sides.
