FIBREGLASS

More than comfortable

Our Fibreglass liners have been designed for comfort, but there’s much more… Fibreglass is hard-wearing and immune to the effects of chlorine (a must if chemical filtration is added), and you won’t find another tub that’s this easy to clean – completely free of awkward angles and hard-to reach corners!

EASY TO USE

Efficient by design

Thanks to the advanced fibreglass shape, the tub’s water capacity is reduced compared to a traditional wooden hot tub, meaning a fibreglass-lined hot tub fills up quicker.  The integrated stove position within the frame increases the efficiency of heat circulation, meaning your tub reaches temperature much faster.

TIMBER CHOICE

Natural Variety

We know that every wooden hot tub delivered is one customer’s dream come true, which is why we want to make every detail perfect.
That’s why we offer a choice of timbers, taken from sustainable sources by our carefully vetted suppliers, to make your tub “just right”.
Available liner colours: White, Blue, Anthracite.

Spruce
Larch
Oak
Thermowood
Red Cedar
Spruce: A robust, light-coloured hardwood, Spruce is often knotty, giving it a distinct finish. It is favoured for its sturdy nature and tidy shape after cutting
Larch: Beginning life as a very pale timber, transforming to a silvery grey with age (and without treatment), Larch is very resistant to attack from insects and rot compared to Spruce.
Oak: A very dense hardwood, Oak is famed for its striking grain and the gorgeous silver colouring it adopts with age. Its density makes it very heavy and resilient to decay.
Thermowood: Heat treated to close up pores in the wood and remove resin within the wood fibres, Thermowood is a light timber which is tremendously resistant to warping from heat and moisture, carrying a rich colour which tends to darken with age.
Red Cedar: An exceptional durable hardwood, Western Red Cedar has a reddish coloring which gives it striking visual appeal. Resistant to warping, moisture and decay make this timber a favourite for attractive outdoor use.

Frequently asked questions

Wooden hot tubs should be drained for cleaning every 2-3 days. This can be extended with the use of chemicals or filtration systems for tubs with a fibreglass or polypropylene liner.

Chemicals can be used with lined tubs (fibreglass or polypropylene) where the water doesn’t come into contact with the timber facade but they are not required.
Using chemicals can allow the same water to be retained for longer, between cleaning.

This is a difficult question to answer, because it depends!
Wooden tubs are unsuitable for chemicals, which means water should be changed every 2-3 days when in regular use, with the lid fitted while not in use to ensure no debris finds its way in.
For lined tubs (fibreglass or polypropylene), chemicals such as chlorine, or filtration systems can be used to maintain water quality for a period running into weeks.
Following basic practices such as showering before using the hot tub can extend the period between cleans.
In a commercial setting (such as glamping sites or holiday rentals), water should be changed for each new guests’ arrival.

If heat logs of seasoned hardwood are used there will be minimal smoke produced. Burning treated/painted wood will produce more smoke as well as tar within the chimney and stove.

Hot tubs are blissfully quiet. The only noise you will hear is the gentle crackling from the burning logs and perhaps the occasional light roar from the flame in the flue. Many people find these sounds relaxing and they add to the calming experience.

Not at all. Unless you really neglect your tub it will last for years with minimal effort. Wood naturally releases a gentle antiseptic that will help to protect your product.

EFFICIENT, NATURAL WARMTH

Royal, Wood-Fired Simplicity

Every Royal Tub has a stainless-steel wood-fired stove at its heart, harnessing the magic of natural woodfire to aid your relaxation. With a traditional wood-fired stove you’re left only with the soft crackle of firewood and the enriching aroma of woodsmoke to accompany your indulgent escape.

Manufactured to the highest standards, our wood-fired stoves are built to heat your tub quickly, letting you enjoy your oasis whenever you desire with minimal running costs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

As Easy as 1, 2, 3…

Firing the stove is a breeze. We’ve perfected the process so it’s not only easy light and control, but a part of the experience.

Light Your Fire

Follow the simple steps provided to light the stove and start warming your tub.

Let Nature Work

Use the stove’s simple airflow control to regulate the burn. and leave your tub to heat. The warm water will naturally rise from the stove to the bathing area.

Slide In & Enjoy!

Once your tub is up to temperature (around 39C) throttle back your stove and slip into your peaceful retreat.

ENGINEERED TO LAST

Built To Harness Nature’s Warmth

All Royal Tubs Stoves are manufactured from high grade and efficiency stainless steel, selected for its efficient heat transfer, strength and longevity.

Our standard stoves are built using 430 grade stainless steel and we also offer upgrades to 304 and 316 grade stainless steel, which boast improved composition and are a must if chemicals are to be added to the water

HEATER TYPES

A Stove For Every Occasion

The stove isn’t just the heart of your tub…  It’s the centrepiece around which everything is built.  Find the fire that warms your Soul.

Integrated Heater

An integrated heating stove is the finishing touch to most luxurious Royal Tubs. The stove is sited within the tub structure, increasing its natural heating efficiency and reducing losses allowing your tub to reach temperature faster.

Air flow is regulated using vents on the stove door. The inset grate allows air to circulate throughout the chamber, giving you full control of an even burn.

The bottom of the stove is fitted with two channels where the heat is at its most intense. Due to the gravitation effect, the warm water within the stove naturally rises into the bathing area, allowing the heat to be distributed without pumps or valves.

External Heater

The external stove stands apart from your tub, taking up no space within the bathing area.  Use this freedom to stretch out and relax, or add two more people to your party!  Cleaning, lighting and reloading the fire is made easier, with full access available to the chamber.

Air flow is regulated using vents on the loading door. The side-channel on the right ensures that air can reach the core of the fire to increase its intensity. The ashpan is easily accessible from the front of the unit, making maintenance a breeze.

The gravitation effect allows warm water within the stove to naturally rise into the bathing area, allowing heat to be distributed without pumps or valves.

Electric Heaters

Looking To Set And Forget?

Wood-fired stoves are adored for the atmosphere they create, but we know sometimes you want to lift the lid and jump straight in…

Electric Heaters let you keep your tub up to temperature, so you can slip in at a moment’s notice.

We can fit your tub with an electric heater alongside, or in place of a wood-fired heater so you can enjoy the best of both worlds.
